Cactus

The cactus in my backyard is mean to me. I thought it was a very interesting plant because it grows in the turtle pen (the turtle is my bff)....But yesterday I was playing with Penny Layne and I ran to hide behind the cactus and it bit me! That mean plant. It also left a couple of its pointy teeth in my skin. Mom had to use the tweezers to get the teeth out of me. SO MEAN!

So

I thought I should catch you all up. My human aunt came home and brought sooooo many other humans with her. It was so much fun! I got to play and get my tummy rubbed. The best thing was when one human couldn't give me any more attention another human could take her place. AMAZING! It was so nice of my aunt to bring all these fun people for ME to play with. (I know the real reason she brings them is so they can see me).

I was very sad when they left and was really mopey for almost a whole day; then I remembered I had buried a toy outside and needed to go find it. I found it! The humans don't seem to like it, but I love it. They think my toy smells bad, but I love the smell because it helps me find it.

Time

Yes, I know my mom has been bad and not let me use her computer in a while, but have no fear, Slinky is here.

You're probably wondering what I have been doing the past month. Lots of the usual, hiding bones, chasing birds...etc.

Last week we had a very exciting week. We had human visitors. LOTS OF THEM. Tell you more later. G2G

home sick

Mom stayed home from work today because she is sick. I think its really because she wanted to stay home and play with me. All morning I've been bringing every single toy I can find and leaving them at her door. I know any minute she will get out of bed and start throwing them for me to chase... I just need to find the right toy that she wants to play with. So far its been an hour of me bringing her toys, but she hasn't thrown one yet...I must find the right one...Then I'm sure she will want to play...I hope...

Sicky

We have been under some stress here at the house. Zoe, my cousin, hasn't been feeling well. She's been getting special food and extra love. It's so unfair. I love food. I want special food.... but with out the medicine on it.

I've just been playing with Penny since Zoe is sick. I'm happy about one thing; that I'm not the one going to the V-E-T. I hate that place!

Meet Penny

This is my crazy sister Penny Layne. She is a yorkie-poo.

I don't know if you can tell from the video, but I'm adopted. It is so surprising since I look JUST LIKE HER...well I am taller, but that's because I'm a boy. Other then that, identical. (Mom does not agree with her being my twin...something about being two different breeds)

Sick

My mom is a bit sick. It's kinda a bummer when she's sick because then she doesn't play chase or throw my toys very far.

But! There is a HUGE upside to her being sick. Kleenex. I LOVE KLEENEX. It is so much fun to grab out of trash cans and then rip it to shreds. I'm even nice enough to decorate the whole house with them.

Also, I discovered something new. My mom is putting some smelly rub on her chest to help her breathe. I love to smell it... its such a new smell. I tried tasting it by licking my mom...but there was no flavor. So strange, something with a great smell, and no flavor. I think she calls it Vicks.

Scary

It's super late at night. I heard something and started banging on the door so mommy opened it up. I ran out to this area that has some old furniture that is going to be thrown away and found something scary. My super good nose had me following it and I was determined to find it. Mom ran inside and got a flashlight. She started moving some stuff and then... it growled at mom. I started growling back at it because nothing threatens mom like that.... but my hero time was up. She grabbed me and ran back into the house.

I wonder what that scary thing was. Do you know?

Rain rain...go away

It rained yesterday, so I decided it would be a good idea to check on my favorite bone. I've had this bone for over 6 months! Fortunately I'm really good at hiding it so my sister can't steal it.

Before I could play with it I had to lick all the dirt off it. I finally got it clean and played with it on the couch for like an hour. MY FAVORITE THING TO DO! After playing with it, I noticed my sister trying to steal it so I took it outside and hid it again. Mom knows when I hide stuff because my nose gets all dirty. So if no more rain comes my bone will be safe for a little while.

Did I mention I LOVE the puppy bowl? I got to watch it today. I sat down right in front of the TV and watched the puppies run around. This year I didn't fall for the idea that those toys they were playing with are mine. I didn't jump into the tv.

AP

I love the channel Animal Planet. My favorite shows are the ones with dogs, coyotes, or wolves. The other dogs I live with, Penny and Zoe, don't seem to watch tv like I do. They just bark when a door bell rings.

I love to sit and watch the tv. Sometimes I forget that the dogs on the TV aren't real.

Last year, we were watching the puppy bowl. SO much fun. Well, these puppies were playing with a blue toy that I really wanted. So, when I saw it I ran and jumped into the TV trying to get that toy... All I ended up with was a headache and my humans laughing at me. Maybe this year I can get that toy.

So exciting! Daddy let me sit in the front seat. The best thing about the front seat is there is a huge circle thing. Thats fun... but the best part was when you lean on the circle it honks!! I can make a super loud noise. Wooohooo

Flashing lights

I love it when the big red car with the flashing lights drives by. Sometimes they even make a noise with their siren. That is my favorite part! I love singing along... but for some reason mom just thinks I'm howling.

So, today I realized what my biggest bugger is. I can't stand it when I'm not allowed to greet new humans. Today a new human came over and I wasn't even able to lick her face. So unfair! I love licking faces.

Today I was having fun outside doing my favorite thing, chasing bugs. This bug was mean! I caught it in my mouth, but had to let it out right away. This bug bit my tongue! I opened my mouth to let it go and it started flying toward me. I had to run away. Such a scary, mean bug.

So: Beware of the yellow bugs, they are mean!

...Or so I thought

I decided to hide on of my bones in my human mom's shoe. I thought it was a great idea, because that way, if in the middle of the night, I wanted my bone, I could get it. It was a good idea except my sister Penny Layne found it when I went outside to bark at the trash truck. Now she wont give it back. It was a good idea...or so I thought

Remote Control

I have to say I love the remote control. I thinks its really entertaining. I know my human mom uses it to put changing pictures on that black rectangle, but what is much more entertaining is when I use it.

Sometimes, I like to sit or lay on the remote. It is really funny because the pictures change and the humans freak out. They look around all confused and usually gasp. Now that is comedy!

Treats

I love burying EVERYTHING. I burry my bones, my toys, and my treats.

Today I got a big doggie biscuit for being a good boy and not going out the gate while mom got the mail. I quickly took it outside and then spent 10 minutes smelling and testing new areas to hind it in.

I have a problem though, when I burry treats they seem to dissappear. They are always gone after it rains. I can smell where they used to be, but there gone. Do you know who's stealing them? I think its my cousin Zoe... She is the black malti-poo that lives with us.

Bones

I love to burry my bones. I have really taken to mom's potted plants. She always seems to pot something in them just as I need to burry a bone. See?
